MANILA, Philippines - Zanjoe Marudo has opened up about his recent break-up with Mariel Rodriguez.

In an interview with “The Buzz,”  Marudo reiterated Rodriguez’s statement that they remain friends after their split.

“Wala naman akong plano talagang mawala kami o ‘yong mapunta ako sa iba [at] mapunta siya sa iba,” Marudo said.

Marudo declined to divulge the circumstances behind their break-up so as not to fuel speculations.

“Kasi kapag once na marami pa tayong kinuwento, marami pa tayong ipinaliwanag, mas hahaba pa nang hahaba,” he said. “Ito nga pinipilit namin sa amin na lang ito. May mga nadadamay kasi at naiiba-iba na ‘yong ispekulasyon ng tao.”

Rodriguez has clarified that there was no third party involved in the split.

She already denied rumors that Robin Padilla, who became a guest co-host of “Wowowee,” is courting her. She also said there was no truth to rumor that Marudo is dating actress Cristine Reyes, the actor’s next leading lady in a television program. -Report by Bernie Franco, ABS-CBN.com

MANILA, Philippines – Amid the latest controversy on her shaky marriage to basketball star James Yap, Kris Aquino disclosed yesterday that she was “emotionally tired” of her relationship with her husband and that she had left the conjugal abode with her two children.

Interviewed in her own TV program The Buzz, which she co-hosts with Boy Abunda, the popular actress and emcee finally broke her silence and narrated the latest episode that made her decide to “temporarily” walk out of her marriage.

“I’m trying to make our marriage work, but James must also do his part. Marriage is a two-way traffic. Hindi lang ako ang dapat nagwo-work out nito (I shouldn’t only be the one working this out). He should show that he is a responsible, loving father,” Aquino said while trying to hold back tears.

Aquino also denied having made a scene outside the house of Mayen Austria, her husband’s rumored girlfriend, and shouting invectives at the mother outside the Austria residence in Valle Verde, Pasig City.

MANILA - Actress Ruffa Gutierrez confirmed on “The Buzz” Sunday that she and John Lloyd Cruz had spent time together in Los Angeles, California but she quickly reiterated that they were not a couple.

Two photos of the  two spending time together in the United States spread on the Internet last week, triggering speculations that they were in fact having a romantic relationship despite their repeated denials here.  One photo showed the two entering a posh hotel, SLS Hotel, in Beverly Hills while another caught them strolling along high-end boutiques on Rodeo Drive.

The Buzz host Kris Aquino said that she has nothing against Charlene Gonzales and to prove this the controversial actress/host even recommended her to be one of the hosts of ABS-CBN’s new morning show. The said show will replace Boy & Kris, which is hosted by Kris and Boy Abunda.

“They were asking for names about who we would like to recommend for the morning show that we’ll vacate,” Kris related on The Buzz yesterday (February 1). “I said, ‘Alam n’yo kung nag-iisip kayo na bagay na ibalik sa TV, why not Charlene? She (Charlene) and Ruffa. But I guess masyadong mahal kung siya, si Ai at si Ruffa together.”

Kris justified that this meant that she had put whatever misunderstanding she had with the former beauty queen behind her. “So if there’s bad blood or whatever, you’re not gonna wish more work for somebody.”

Ruffa Gutierrez is set write a book about her life and experiences as wife of Yilmaz Bektas, her estranged Turkish husband.

During Sunday’s “The Buzz,” Gutierrez, however, was quick to say that contrary to rumors she will not drop a bombshell in her upcoming book.

“There were lots of love between us and I also want him to learn about the lessons that I’ve learned… my experience being a Muslim and living there in a different country,” she said.

She maintained that she will not write things that will make her former husband look bad.

She said the book is also for their two children, Lorin and Venice.

Pinoy Fear Factor eliminado Phoemela Baranda admitted that she initially had apprehensions of joining the reality show because she had her career to consider as a regular segment host for TV Patrol and The Buzz. “It was a bit scary because I have work for TV Patrol and The Buzz. Actress Angelica Panganiban downplayed reports that she and current boyfriend actor-model Derek Ramsey are getting married.

In an interview on weekly entertainment show “The Buzz,” Pangilinan said that marriage is not yet on their minds, and that she and the actor are not rushing things.

“Wala (walang balak). Hindi kasi namin pinag-uusapan kasi parati naming sinasabi na siya yung tao na parang gusto niya kung ano ang mayroon sa araw na ito doon siya naka-focus. Ayaw niyang isipin yung bukas, ayaw niya ng isipin yung kahapon,” the actress explained.

Actress-host Kris Aquino said that she is willing to give everything to finance the campaign of her good friend Boy Abunda if he ever decides to run for public office.

“Seriously and honestly, kung anuman ang mamanahin ko at kung anuman ang pwede naming isanla to fund your campaign I will do it,” Aquino said during the opening part of their weekly entertainment show “The Buzz.”

In her statement, Aquino said that she would really like it if the ‘King of Talk,’ would decide to serve the public.

Aquino admitted that losing her house would affect her, but she is willing to do it just for Abunda’s candidacy.
