John Lloyd Talks About his Movie and Love life

John Lloyd’s new movie with Angel Locsin, “Unofficially Yours”, becomes the most talked about Valentine movie of Star Cinema because of its story and concept about sexual relationship nowadays. John Lloyd admitted that the pressure is different this time, as how his new movie tackled a different kind of issue about relationship.

“Medyo kakaiba yung tema. Kakaiba para sa Star (Cinema) pero yung tema naman na yun familiar naman na yung audience sa ngayon. Saka kasi dati ‘di ba isang klase siya ng subject na hindi pinag-uusapan pero laganap ‘di ba so finally matatackle sa isang pelikula. So I’m very excited na maikwento natin ito sa paraan na kung paano gumagawa ng pelikula ang Star Cinema.”

Speaking of relationship, there are rumors that Shaina and him got back together. John Lloyd confirmed the issue, and it has been a long time since they reunited.

“Nagkahiwalay kami, nagkabalikan. And now, we’re doing perfectly fine.

“We are trying to keep the private matters private kasi masyado din ata kaming naging maluwag din sa pagwe-welcome ng public sa buhay namin. Kaya siguro ngayon mas may effort lang at consciousness lang to keep the matter private as much as possible,” John Lloyd said in an interview.

“Unofficially Yours” will hit the big screen this coming February 15.

John Lloyd and Shaina are “not officially” together

In a press conference for his biscuit endorsement, actor John Lloyd Cruz admitted that he and his girlfriend Shaina Magdayao are still trying to work on their relationship despite still not being “officially together”. Cruz said that he doesn’t want to add anything further since he wants to protect her relationship with Shaina after the controversies that their relationship went through.

“Ako masyado akong naging open siguro sa media — sa public — ng personal life ko na parang naging out of control ang nangyari. So right now, kung anuman ang gusto kong ma-achieve, siguro the best way to protect it siguro for now is to keep it to myself and let it be as private as possible,” the actor said.

The Actor further added that he and Shaina are in a stage of realizing and discovering the importance of their relationship and said that he is happy with the status of their relationship. “Maayos naman kami. Even shortly after everything that happened eh maayos naman kami. At kung anuman ang naging problema, I had to attend to it, [to] everything especially kung related sa family. So ‘yun lang ang ginawa ko. For now, that’s really all I can tell you. Maayos kami, wala naman kaming problema. We are okay, we spend time together pero that’s all I can tell you,” he said.

When asked if his relationship with Shaina is worth a second chance, John Lloyd said “yes” adding that artists like them are also normal people who want normal relationships with the people closest and dearest to them.

Cruz also admitted that he and Magdayao are still “in touch” and in fact planning to invite Shaina for a vacation trip with his family this Christmas.

John Lloyd Cruz’s advice to Luis Manzano

The silence from showbiz couple Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin is loud enough to speculate that their break-up was painful and bitter. And some members of the entertainment press allegedly even became victims of the backlash wherein he was said to have remarked “I don’t have to answer that,” referring to questions about his fallen relationship with Angel.

When asked about John Lloyd’s reaction to such story, he said that it is inevitable to shun away from the press about an actor’s broken relationship. It is something one would face one day in his career or personal life.

“I regret to hear na ganun yung approach pero siguro dahil mahirap pa yung pinagdadaan nila. Naiintindihan ko siya pero siyempre iba-iba naman kami. Siguro that time na natanong ninyo siya it’s hard pa rin,” he commented. “I cannot speak for them especially my friend Luis. When I also broke up with my girlfriend, I asked your respect and for a little time na pagdating ng panahon mas masasagot ko ng diretso and malinaw yan na walang paligoy-ligoy. And usually you would honor my requests.”
