Manny Pacquiao, the current WBO Welterweight World Champion (Super Champion) and the number one pound-for-pound best boxer in the world is facing another challenge to the almost bygone, retire-comeback-retire again-comeback again Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Michael Koncz said in a previous interview that there is no truth on the said fight and no one in Mayweather’s camp reached him or Bob Arum about it. “How can he set a date, how can he set the venue without consulting your opponent?” Koncz told the veteran sports writer Ronnie Nathanielsz in a boxing magazine.

Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather’s adviser announced that his client is “looking forward to make the biggest fight possible”, “Everybody knows what that fight is, the little fella (referring to Manny Pacquiao)”.

According to Knocz, Mayweather’s just trying  to get attention because Pacquiao-Marquez fight is nearing.  “We have been working on endorsements which are not Mickey Mouse $100,000 but multi-million dollar deals” Koncz further added.

It is the obvious that Mayweather is acting too childish because all attention is all set to Manny Pacquiao. His gibberish style won’t affect anything at all except he rings the bell to fight Pacquiao. This news about Pacquiao-Mayweather fight has been long anticipated, however fans grew tired of waiting for the childish Mayweather’s camp has not decide whether if they are brave enough to fight or not.

Manny Pacquiao has 58 fights, 38 out of 53 Wins was win by knockout, 3 losses, and 2 draws. In addition to his long list of winnings or belts are Light Middleweight, Welterweight, Light Welterweight, Lightweight, Super Featherweight, Featherweight, Fly weight.

Aside from being a professional boxer, Manny is also a government official in the Province of Saranggani in which he was elected as Congressman in May 2010. He is also a singer, host, and an actor in the Philippines.

Berto vs Pacquiao most sensible match: analyst

MANILA, Philippines – It seems like another boxing champion is setting his sights on challenging pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao, just like Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito and Erik Morales.

World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight champion Andre Berto, who successfully defended his title on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) against Puerto Rican Carlos Quintana, said Pacquiao has not faced a boxer like him.

“It would be a great showdown because he (Pacquiao) has never had to deal with my type of speed and power combined,” Berto said in an Examiner.com article by Vivek Wallace.

“Some of his opponents had one or the other, but you could make an argument that I’d be the first with that kind of mix,” the Haitian American added.

Outboxed, outclassed

After Clottey, Pacquiao fans want Mayweather next

ARLINGTON, TEXAS—Before one of the largest indoor crowds in modern US ring history, Manny Pacquiao Sunday dominated a strangely gun-shy Joshua Clottey, outpunching him from bell to bell, to retain his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.
The ease with which Pacquiao outclassed Clottey over 12 rounds—at times, the Filipino looked as if he were simply working up a sweat in a sparring session—left many fans and experts hankering for a once-in-a-lifetime fight between him and the undefeated American Floyd Mayweather Jr.

“We are ready to fight him (Mayweather) any time,” The New York Times quoted Pacquiao as saying. “I don’t think he’s ready to fight.”

“I want that fight, the world wants that fight, but it’s up to him,” Pacquiao said after the one-sided match on Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila).

Mom to Pacquiao: Retire or I’ll gatecrash fight with Mayweather

There’s one person in the world who doesn’t want newly-crowned WBO champion Manny Pacquiao to forge a showdown with unbeaten American Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

It’s none other than the Pacman’s mother, Dionisia.

Now a celebrity in her own right, the bubbly Pacquiao matriarch has requested the world’s top pound-for-pound fighter to hang up his gloves altogether after his bloody TKO win over Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.

And should her call fall on deaf ears, “Mommy D” threatened to climb the ring against Mayweather!

Pag di ka titigil aakyat ako, ako ang lalaban kay Mayweather!” she said then let out a hearty laugh.

Of course, doing that is highly-impossible as she does not watch Manny’s fights at the arena, preferring to spend the whole time praying for her son’s victory and safety in her hotel room.
