Dolloso in key Hollywood action film role

Felino Dolloso has been cast in one of Hollywood’s top action films to released later this year.

The Filipino-Australian actor plays a key supporting role in the movie Point Break 2, directed by Jan De Bont.

De Bont megged box-office action-thriller hits Twister and Speed which starred Keanu Reeves.

Pinoy ako na lumaki na dito sa Australia, said the trained Professional actor.

Among the major film credits of the up and coming Fil-Aussie actor are Candy, a 2006 feature film starring the late Australian actor Heath Ledger, Abbie Cornish and Geoffrey Rush.

John Lloyd calls chemistry with Sarah Geronimo “a gift”

ABS-CBN contract star John Lloyd Cruz said that he believes his successful tandem with singer Sarah Geronimo is a gift.

Cruz, one of the country’s bankable stars said that he and Geronimo’s rapport in doing projects like their hit debut film together “A Very Special Love” is a gift that they are now trying to nurture.

“I believe it’s a gift. It’s very deep ‘yung makatagpo ka ng isang kapareha in this kind of business na mayroon kayong ganoong klaseng chemistry,” said Cruz.

He added, “It’s a gift na dapat inaalagaan, ino-nourish niyo ang magandang relationship sa isa’t isa magandang pagsasama.”

Cruz said that he too cannot explain their chemistry when the camera starts to roll. He just added there’s something with the singer that he cannot define.

LOS ANGELES — “Mammoth,” Swedish director Lukas Moodysson’s film with Gael Garcia Bernal, Michelle Williams and Filipina actress Marife Necesito, has been selected for main competition at the Berlin Film Festival which runs next month.

“Mammoth” is on our list of promising films of 2009. According to the film’s publicity materials, “‘Mammoth’ revolves around successful New York couple Leo (Gael) and Ellen (Michelle). Leo is the creator of a booming website while Ellen is a dedicated emergency surgeon. Their 8-year-old daughter Jackie (Sophie Nyweide) spends most of her time with her Filipino nanny Gloria (Marife).
