State of Calamity, Declared by P-Noy

President Benigno “Noy-noy” Aquino III declared National State of Calamity yesterday in areas severely affected by the typhoon “Pablo”.

Based on Proclamation 522 signed by the president, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are covered by National state of calamity due to the severe flooding and landslides storm resulted with the death of many victims.

With the declaration, hasten the relief and rehabilitation efforts of the government as well as helping the private sector.

P-Noy ordered the major agencies and departments of government to implement rehabilitation medical assistance and relief works and also instructed the local government units to use their calamity funds to help their constituents.
