The Bourne Legacy franchise to shoot in the Philippines

Filipino fans of “The Bourne Legacy” franchise are getting much more excited as the Hollywood movie revealed their shooting places on Tuesday and that is Philippines.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino revealed that the locations include Intramuros, Navotas Fishport, Ramon Magsaysay Blvd., Ayala Avenue, Nagtahan, Pasay Taft, Jones Bridge, Marikina City Market and San Andres Market. He also said that the finale may take part in El Nido, Palawan.

It became trending topic in Twitter as Filipinos talked about the much anticipated movie. Jeremy Renner will play as the new CIA operative Aaron Cross. The stars of the movie will come to Philippines this January and might take a month as they shoot their scenes.

MMDA Chairman Tolentino told in an interview with ANC, “I think they selected Pasay Taft Rotonda. Magulo talaga ang area. So it’s about time that we redo the area because it will be shown worldwide. So it’s an eye-opener for us na ayusin namin ang Pasay-Taft Rotonda.”

Motorists will be advised about alternative routes during shooting days, he said, adding that teams will be deployed for crowd control and to re-direct traffic.

“The movie will be shown worldwide. It’s best that we clean the area first before filming.

“We will advise the neighborhoods concerned to be more sensitive to the once-in-a-lifetime shooting opportunity,” Tolentino said.
