Taylor Lautner is going to be a busy man in 2010! He has yet another potential project to add to his resume—Vision Quest. He is in talks to star in an updated version of this 1985 drama. According to E! News,
[Taylor] could wind up playing an updated version of [Matthew] Modine’s character in the still-in-development film, which counts Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen of Temple Hill Entertainment (and Twilight and New Moon fame) as producers. We hear that Richard Munic has penned a screenplay that is “very faithful” to the original Vision Quest.
“Taylor saw [the script] and is really excited about it,” says a source. “It’s very much in line with his athleticism. His character is someone who’s striving for greatness.”
Taylor is currently in contract negotiations with Summit Entertainment to reprise his role as Jacob Black in “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth book in the Twilight Saga. He is also confirmed to portray teenage superhero Max Steel in an upcoming Paramount production and star in “Cancun,” an action flick about vacationers held hostage by a drug cartel.
