ZAMBOANGA City, Philippines – Another bomb went off in Zamboanga City on Wednesday night.
The Zamboanga City Police Office said the explosion took place in a pile of garbage in Barangay Putik around 8 p.m.
It said that there were no reported injuries in the blast.
Investigators said that a witness saw 2 motorcycle-riding men threw the bomb at the pile of garbage.
The witness, however, failed to see the faces of the suspects because they were both wearing full-face helmets.
Post blast investigators recovered a wire and pieces of a plastic bottle, used as container of the improvised bomb.
Police have yet to determine which group was responsible for the latest bombing in the city which has been rocked by similar attacks since last year.
