Manila, Philippines- A Makati City judge on wednesday has granted request of detained Sen. Antonio trillanes IV and Brig. gen. Danilo Lim to post bail in the connection with Manila Peninsula hotel siege in 2007.
Makati City RTC branch 150 judge Elmo Alameda granted Trillanes’s appeal to post P200,000 bail for his temporary freedom.The judge also granted bail for 17 other suspects in the Manila Peninsula hotel siege in Makati in Nov. 29, 2007.
Meanwhile, Francisco said Trillanes may still have to remain in detention due to his pending pending coup d’etat case in July 2003 hotel siege dubbed as the “Oakwood Mutiny”
Trillanes and Lim are currently detained at the Philippine National Police’s custodial center in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
