2 witnesses to testify vs massacre suspect—lawyer

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE) Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr. will again face the courts Wednesday at the resumption of his trial for multiple murder.

The court is expected to tackle the petition for bail filed by the Ampatuan camp.

Meanwhile, the group working on the case for the 31 journalists who were among the 57 people killed in Maguindanao last November 23 for which Ampatuan has been tagged as the mastermind will be bringing in two witnesses, lawyer Harry Roque said.

In an interview before the trial, Roque said the two witnesses included a soldier who took footage of the massacre site, as well as a witness to the actual killings.
