More than two months after the notorious Alvin Flores Gang was believed neutralized, a robbery using the gang’s modus operandi took place in Manila before dawn Wednesday.
Radio dzBB reported that men posing as policemen on three motorcycles, hijacked a 10-wheeler truck in Manila, and dumped the truck driver and his helper in Pasay City.
“They dumped us from a van, our hands still tied with packing tape, but I managed to untie myself. We ran and asked help from local tricycle drivers who brought us to a police precinct,” driver Rey Wang said in Filipino at the Pasay City Police Station 2.
The Alvin Flores Gang was notorious in 2009 for having its members pose as lawmen in gaining entry to an establishment they were targeting.
