Mark Bam Reyes shot and killed near his home
Mark Reyes was fatally shot 7 times. Mark on the mic at Club Bureau.
Bam Reyes as known to over 1000+ friends on Facebook whose real name is Mark Reyes was shot seven times and killed around 5:00am on September 15th, 2009.
Mark Reyes was well known in the Manila Clubbing scene and worked hard making a name for himself. You may have seen him at work, promoting at Fiama Fiamma on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday nights. **His crew has asked their names to be removed.
Mark Reyes and crew also promoted the new club Bureau at A Venue in North Makati Avenue. Their nights were Thursdays and Saturdays.
If you weren’t part of the Manila clubbing scene and his face still is recognizable then you may have seen him in one of many different commercials.
Mark Reyes was more than just a promoter, he was also a very talented athlete. He played numerous positions on the flag football team known as the Young Guns. His speed and agility made him one tough competitor even though he would be playing with only a few hours of (or absolutely no) sleep. Having worked the night before for Fiama Fresh Fridays.
Details of the murder are still under investigation, will post additional information when it’s publicly released.

Mark Reyes was not the only one shot this morning. He was apparently with his close friend and DJ ___ whose name we’ve been asked to keep confidential while he’s being treated at a hospital within Makati.

There’s been conflicting reports on the description of the getaway vehicle, any help from those at the Contact Center across the street might be helpful. Also, the only evidence of this event even happening (besides the gun shots that we heard that early morning) is a flower bouquet that has been laid in front of the condo unit.

This happened right before our eyes. I am working in front of Orient Mansion where this Mark guy live. He was dropped off by a friend when a black SUV followed and masked hit man got out and shot him about 5 to 6 times, I think. Then they drove off. The guy (who until today I learned what his name was) fell on the ground on his back gasping for air while his bull cap flew a short distance from where he actually laid. He tried to reach out his hand (I remember it was the right) and slowly it fell as he was dying. Everyone was shocked and took cover including the guards in surrounding buildings. Then the guy who dropped him off earlier came back rushing to his friend and he called his friends and he yelled at people to call for the police and an ambulance. But too late, his friend already died on the spot. After 5 minutes the ambulance came and the remains were taken away in Makati Medical Center… Let us just hope that justice will be heard. This isn’t the right way to die. Nobody deserves an execution.

@Obvious - There is a call center right across from where Mark lives and they work 24 hours-three 8 hour shifts. There are people on smoking break outside the Mini-Stop convenience store constantly. There are a lot of witnesses to this crime. I was Mark’s neighbor and this senseless violence is what our neighborhood…or any neighborhood does not need. I don’t care what “bad stuff” anyone’s been in anywhere, you just don’t shoot anyone. It’s the coward’s way. And if you guys can’t settle it like men, please take it elsewhere. A lot of innocent people could’ve been hurt or killed.

hi chicagoan! my dad sent me this link to read all the comments about the shootings that happened in chicago and that this mark (rip) was the suspect. you see, my brother is a victim of mistaken identity. somebody opened fire at this house in chicago (2002) and he was shot 3x then died. he was waiting for his ride home. my brother and i were just vacationing that time and he was invited to this pinoy bday party. to this day, the case is unsolved. the police only said that my brother looked like the gang member who is the son of the owner of the house. and honestly, i don’t know what i’d do if i find out who his killer was. nobody at that party wanted to be a witness coz they’re too scared to get involved.

I was really sad when I found out the story on why he was killed, but also glad when they told me the shooting was not U.S. related to a Mr.Edward Francisco. Mark has always been a great guy and a hard worker and for all the people that known him can agree. I dont really know the whole story to the Chicago thing but dont compare Mark to this Edward guy. No one deserves to be killed, good or bad, please have some respect for the people who was close to Mark, can you imagine how we all feel. If this happened to someone to who you are close with how would you feel about this situation. Grow Up!!!

Whatever Bam did in Chicago, we out here will never know. If he is guilty of those crimes then it’s unfortunate for those who knew the victims that he didn’t serve his time. But the Bam we knew out here was a great person who never failed to put a smile on his face and on the faces of those around him, and took care of everyone he knew. Is this karma? past is past and people change, maybe there was a time he did fucked up and made mistakes in his life but people change and learn from their mistakes, no matter what happened during the past, we don’t have the right to judge anyone unless we are GOD which we’re not. Anyone’s passing is a sad thing and probably when he was still in the US he did messed up but the guy came here in the PI and made a huge jump from the bad past to a new one by being friends with everyone, making a lot of people smile and had a impact, small or big to the people around him. People change guys, people change and Bam chose to make that change a positive one in his life. Things do happen for a reason, he already left this world the way we all didn’t expect it to be but for sure the young man changed for the better and now a lot of people mourn his passing simply because his impact was positive.

I am also a good friend of the MARK that I know. I just want to ask for more details on what exactly happened. Is it really that crazy in CHICAGO nowadays?
After watching videos on youtube about a 16 year old student beaten up to death and gathering an information that there has been more than 290 student shot and killed just this year alone in Chicago, it seems like this is just like an ordinary thing there in Chicago.
I really want to hear your side Chicagoan but please be more detailed. Why did Mark killed your friend? Am sure there should be reasons behind it and not just because he felt killing a person. Is Mark just like the guys who killed Albert (the 16 year old honor student) who is presently wanted for murder?
Kindly enlighten us on this so that we may understand completely. The way I see it… living in Chicago is CRAZY and I’d rather have my kids go to the Philippines rather than live in a neighborhood where there is so much hatred and violence.

all im gonna say about mark reyes is I hope he gets to rest in peace. but from what i know is that he was pissing alot people off here in the philippines. i dont think anyone deserves to get shot like he did, but honestly i never liked him. i always thought he was a prick. fuckin plastic motherF.. but yea, everyone does have the right to their own opinion right? whatever.. still, rest in peace mark O.o

No investigations were really made after Mark Reyes was ambushed. But here is what the authorities should know that might lead them to to the killer if they have intention of hunting him down.
First of all, the prime suspect behind MARK’s death is a son of a well connected politician with CIDG bodyguards.
This all started in one club when this guy discovered that his wife was having an affair with MARK. That same weekend he went to the said club hunting for MARK. He had a bodyguard with a gun looking for him.
They had a confrontation, and that same weekend MARK suddenly had body guards in all his events.
SO he knew his life was at threat. By whom? Another person close to him knows about this incident. Which I will disclose his name in the future when I get more concrete evidence on it.
To sum it up… MARK was killed over a girl by someone who has good connections. There is a video of the guy on a security camera of the club when he went there. The guy other guy whom MARK was with have seen the guy. MARK’s friends knows who the girl I am referring to.
So if they really want justice for MARK they can find one if they will just speak out and open the case.
MARK was brutally murdered by a person who had so much anger on him because he had an affair with his very young wife.
He was not killed by a hired killer as they were using a private SUV and he was shot 7 times.
A military will never shot a person 7 times. They would give him 2 bullets in the head.
He was either killed by the person himself (the husband of the girl) or one of his Father’s bodyguards.
There are many proofs that would lead to his intentions to kill MARK.
Condolence to MARK’s family. May his soul rest in his. And may the girl whom MARK had a relationship with before he died, who is related to the guy I am pertaining to have peace in mind that she is presently sleeping with a KILLER.

After many months of waiting, antagonizing and worrying, I have decided to write a comment in this page, because of SUSPECT.
@SUSPECT, Thank you. I am thanking you because you are SOOO close to the truth of what happened to Mark. Of course, there were a few minor details that were wrong, but for the most part, you are right.
I went to through great detail to find out what happened and was with BAM almost everyday, including the night he passed. I left him an hour before. I was also there at the incident prior to that…
I don’t know why I came back to this WAZUP page, but I felt a bit compelled to. So here I am. Reading what is probably the closest to the truth from SUSPECT.
There is one question I have for you, SUSPECT…Who is his friend that you keep referring to? Please let me know. Put it out here. I want to know if you know what you are really talking about. No offense, I was very close to Mark Reyes, so I want to know to whom you are referring to.
Disclose his name, please.
