PNP rules out terrorism in explosions in 2 cities

The Philippine National Police (PNP) ruled out terrorism yesterday as the motive behind the three explosions that targeted three banks in Valenzuela and Caloocan, saying there was no indication that extremist groups perpetrated the incidents.

Nevertheless, Director General Jesus Verzosa, PNP chief, ordered an in-depth investigation on the blasts at the Union Bank ATM booth in Barangay Marulas, Valenzuela City on Monday, and the two simultaneous explosions in front of the Allied Bank in Valenzuela City and Caloocan City on Saturday night.
