(Updated) UN resumes aid deliveries to Mindanao

MANILA – The United Nations (UN) said it resumed food aid deliveries to the troubled southern Philippines on Monday, just days after halting them because of a spate of deadly bombings.

The move came amid increasing concerns over the humanitarian situation in the southern island of Mindanao, where hundreds of thousands of civilians fleeing violence live in temporary shelters.
