Still ‘imeldific’

No doubt about it. Mention the word Leyte to an average Filipino, and he would associate it to two things: the patron saint Sto. Nino, and the former First Lady Imelda Marcos, with much emphasis on the most intriguing and controversial woman who ever lived in Malacanang.

That isn’t surprising since the Romualdez clan has been in Leyte since time immemorial and they remain to be the mightiest political dynasty in the whole province. This historic island-province is where Imelda Marcos spent her childhood and young adult years. In fact, she has been dubbed the “Rose of Tacloban,” enthralling everyone with her singing prowess and stunning looks.
