P500,000 for Vagni info

Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ronaldo V. Puno Thursday offered a cash reward of P500,000 to individuals who can help authorities find Italian Eugenio Vagni after they received reports that he was abandoned by his Abu Sayyaf captors now evading military and police forces in Sulu.

In a telephone interview, DILG Undersecretary Brian Yamsuan said that Puno along with Director General Jesus A. Verzosa, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), decided to announce the reward money after they received information that 62-year-old Vagni was released by the Abu Sayyaf somewhere in Talipao, Sulu.
