St. Luke’s unveils advanced CT scanner

In an effort to enhance the diagnostic facilities and the accuracy required by clinicians to support high level patient care, St Luke’s Medical Center inaugurated the most advanced and state-of-the-art 256-slice computed tomography (CT) system designed to provide exceptional image quality while reducing the patients’ exposure to radiation doses.

The Philips Brilliance iCT scanner, the first to be installed in the country and only the second in Southeast Asia, is a significant upgrade to the diagnostic facilities at St. Luke’s, which is already the best equipped hospital in the country, according to St. Luke’s Medical Center president and CEO Jose Ledesma. “This is the re-affirmation of our commitment to provide the Filipino people with best there is in in medical technology. With this kind of state of the art technology, we can give better and more accurate diagnosis to our patients.”
