12 RP seamen freed by Somali pirates

MANILA, Philippines— (UPDATE) Twelve Filipino crew members of a German-owned ship have been released by Somali pirates who captured the vessel on Jan. 29, the Department of Foreign Affairs said Tuesday.

DFA undersecretary for migrant affairs Esteban Conejos Jr., citing a report from the Philippine Embassy in Kenya, said the Filipino seamen were released on Mar. 28, together with an Indonesian colleague.
