PNPA graduates to get higher pay

CAMP CASTANEDA, Cavite — The 304 graduating cadets from the Philippine National Police Academy will be taking home some P29 million worth of accumulated scholarship allowances, the highest received so far by any graduating class, officials said on Wednesday.

The high savings was brought by the discontinued system of “issuematics,” where cadets were forced to buy sports uniforms, bags, shoes and even insurance plans that were deducted from their allowances, said Margarita “Tingting” Cojuangco, president of the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) here.
