31st Annual National Convention of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine at the historic landmark Manila Hotel on March 13-14, 2009

THE Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM) traces its beginnings to the Industrial Medical Association of the Philippines (IMAP), a group formed in 1966 by company physicians.

IMAP’s membership grew to over 300 physicians in the 1970s. Alongside IMAP, two other organizations existed – the Philippine Association of Occupational Health (PAOH) and the Philippine Association of Compensation Medicine (PACOM). These three organizations merged in 1976 to form the Philippine Occupational and Industrial Medical Association (POIMA).
