MANILA, Philippines – As he took his oath, the new Philippine honorary consul to Toulouse in France promised to promote the welfare of Filipino workers while promoting the Philippines’ tourist attractions.
Guy Alain Lafont de Sentenac made the pledge during his oath-taking last Feb. 26, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
“The Philippine Honorary Consul in Toulouse aims to help promote closer economic and cultural ties between the Philippines and the Midi Pyrenées region of France. The region is host to several high tech industries, particularly the aerospatial industry. The Airbus headquarters is based in Toulouse,” the DFA said.
Philippine Ambassador to France Rora Navarro Tolentino administered the oath of office to the new honorary consul.
