Obamas welcome singer Stevie Wonder to White House

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is honoring musician Stevie Wonder with a Library of Congress award and a White House concert.
Obama greeted Wonder to the formal East Room on Wednesday to receive the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, named for the American songwriter George Gershwin. Wonder is the second recipient of the award; Paul Simon accepted it in 2007.
Wonder’s hostess, Michelle Obama, said the first album she bought was Wonder’s “Talking Book.”
