The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has launched a manhunt for an army sargeant who shot four of his fellow soldiers inside their barracks at Fort Bonifacio Wednesday morning.
The suspect, Sgt. Ellias Tial, is reportedly still missing after shooting four fellow soldiers inside Army barracks at about 10 a.m. Wednesday in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
Tial shot dead two soldiers, a sargeant and a first lieutenant, while wounding two officers, both army captains.
The victims were immediately rushed to a hospital. One of the victims was declared dead on arrival, while another died during emergency treatment.
According to an interview with Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Romeo Brawner, the suspect had reportedly arrived at the barracks after duty carrying his service firearm, and started shooting at the four other army men inside. [Read full article...]
