PEOPLE with suicidal tendencies remain misunderstood. Who’s to blame? Definitely not the person who always seems to direct his or her thoughts or actions toward suicide.
More often, the blame belongs to people who surround a PST (that’s not the official name, mind you, but we’re going to use that for lack of better terminology) when they refuse to acknowledge that psycho-emotional problems can enable even those who we thought can’t kill a fly to take their own lives.
We tend to say “oh he can’t do that, he’s too smart or weak for that” until it’s too late…
Why an individual commits suicide is a question worth numerous answers, which could range from a debilitating disease to psychological problems.
