MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said rains would continue to prevail over most parts of the country today due to a shallow low-pressure area off Palawan and the tailend of a cold front.
Pagasa also warned the public about big waves in the seaboards of Luzon and Eastern Visayas due to the surge of the northeast monsoon.
As of 2 a.m. yesterday, the shallow low-pressure area was spotted some 210 kilometers south-southwest of Puerto Princesa City.
Pagasa said Central and Southern Luzon would have mostly cloudy skies with scattered rains. [Read full article...]
