CHEd clarifies nursing curriculum; 2 student organizations protest

The Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) yesterday clarified reports on the nursing curriculum, saying that what it decided to set aside was the requirement of four school years and three summer sessions for nursing students.

Instead, it will adopt a five-year curriculum, without the summer sessions, for incoming freshmen students.

The CHEd had begun implementing the curriculum of four school years plus three summer sessions under its CHEd Memorandum Order (CMO) 5.
