Loss of contact with kidnap victims worries Red Cross

THE sudden loss of contact with the three abducted delegates of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Sulu is cause for alarm, Sen. Richard Gordon, Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) chair, said yesterday.

Alain Aeschlimann, head of operations in ICRC- East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific, said they are hopeful that the ICRC may soon receive calls from Filipina Mary-Jean Lacaba, Italian national Eugenio Vagni and Swiss national Andreas Notter again.
