Philippine military decides to hush on red cross officers abduction

The Philippine military authority said Sunday it would suspend operational updates to the public to avoid risks to three abducted international Red Cross staff.


“This is being done to avoid the possibility of compromising our opponents and unnecessarily risking the safety of the victims,” said the Philippine Army spokesman Ernesto Torres in a text message to reporters.
